Dr. Kirana Kefalos, MD

Dr. Kefalos is Board Certified in Internal Medicine. She received her doctorate in medicine from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. She completed her residency in New Haven, CT, at a hospital affiliated with the Yale University School of Medicine.

Dr. Kefalos initially practiced internal medicine in New Haven, CT, where she was an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at Yale University School of Medicine. In addition to seeing patients, she taught medical students, interns, and residents. She was voted by her peers as “One of the 100 Best Doctors in Connecticut” in a survey done by Connecticut Magazine. She was honored with being named “One of the Best Doctors in America” twice.

Dr. Kefalos has focused on preventative care since starting her medical career. She deepened her approach to prevention through healthful lifestyles by attending clinical training at the Harvard Mind Body Medical Institute in Boston, MA. She also taught meditation classes, held “Conscious Living” and “Practicing Presence” sessions.

After a 4-year training, Dr. Kefalos became an advanced practitioner in Energy Medicine, where she learned to balance energy patterns and taught simple Energy Medicine exercises which help improve physical vitality and mental clarity. She also learned to access the body’s deep inner wisdom, allowing her to make helpful suggestions regarding nutritional support and dietary changes.

Dr. Kefalos is now semi-retired and genuinely enjoys the preventative focus of the EHE exams. She is pleased to be able to make such an offering to the hard-working folks who open up space in their busy lives to participate in this innovative program offered by their employers.
